Security Officer Responsibilities

On-Foot Security

Maintain a vigilant presence through strategic foot patrols, floor-by-floor inspections, and direct engagement with facility visitors and staff.

Mobile Patrol

Conduct continuous mobile surveillance of client perimeters and rapid response to critical alarm triggers, providing detailed safety reporting.

Surveillance

Vigilant monitoring of high-value sites and coordinating secure entry/exit logs to maintain perimeter integrity and facility compliance.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License
  • Reliable personal transportation for site travel
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • High level of alertness and attention to detail

Preferred Experience

Previous security or law enforcement experience is preferred but not required.

Certification Process

Statewide Security & Associates will provide a study guide and assist with scheduling your proctored exam once your certification has been approved by the State of Texas. All applicable filing fees and certification costs will be deducted from your first paycheck.
